ABOUT THE STORE
Earl IRL is a by-appointment shopping and event space by Laurel Pantin. The store’s edit, and Laurel’s expertise, lend itself to women who are in mid-life: women who are accomplished and busy, and work to balance their own pursuits and ambition with family life. Her mission is to help those women craft a cohesive sense of style, and a complete wardrobe (from the best sweatshirt to a perfect black dress) that can work for whatever their days entail. We do not cater to trends, we offer solutions to the everyday drama of what to wear.
Clients who book an appointment to shop and work with Laurel will receive tailored recommendations for their lifestyle and event needs, and will receive personalized consulting to shop in complete outfits. They’ll get styling advice and guidance from Laurel, in addition to recommendations for new pieces to incorporate into their existing wardrobes. Clients may also book an appointment to simply shop—a store associate will be on hand to assist.
We welcome bookings for individuals, as well as groups of up to five, and appointments are one hour long. We reserve a deposit upon booking that will be applied to the final clothing bill. Appointments must be canceled 24 hours in advance for a refund on the booking deposit.
Our brand matrix includes Kallmeyer, Róhe, Fforme, Ossou, Ruadh, Comme Si, High Sport, Literary Sport, and Everybody.World, along with hand selected designer resale and vintage from Phoebe Philo-era Céline, Dries van Noten, Prada, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klien, and more.
ABOUT LAUREL
Laurel Pantin is a former magazine editor (previously the style director at InStyle, as well as a fashion editor at titles like Glamour, Lucky, and Teen Vogue), and former fashion director at ByGeorge, the legendary luxury specialty store in Austin, TX. She currently writes the popular Earl Earl newsletter on Substack, where she shares her idiosyncratic styling advice, and singular knack for putting together outfits that are elevated but have a sense of humor.
Laurel also has a business in private styling, working with clients across the U.S. to develop their own sense of style, and edit their wardrobe. Her specialty is working with women who are 40+, and who aim to look current but not trendy.
Having paid her dues in traditional media, with over ten years of experience in publishing, Laurel now lives in West L.A. and has two young children. She believes dressing should be a joy and delight and that the absolute last thing holding you back should be your wardrobe.
